Role description
The Primary Teacher leads learning across core academic areas while helping students become confident readers, writers, thinkers, collaborators, and communicators.
This role requires thoughtful planning, strong classroom management, progress monitoring, and the ability to make lessons active, structured, and meaningful for children at different readiness levels.
Requirements
- Primary teaching qualification or relevant classroom teaching experience.
- Ability to plan literacy, numeracy, inquiry, and project-based lessons.
- Strong classroom management and student-centered teaching practice.
- Clear communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with learning goals.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback that helps learners improve.
- Create a respectful, organized, and motivating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with assistants, leadership, and families to support each child.
